FAQ

Get Your Questions Answered

Q: What is paintless dent repair?
A: Paintless dent repair is the removal of dents and dings without grinding, painting or applying putty to the exterior of your vehicle. We use special tools to coax the metal back to its original factory shape, leaving your paint job untouched.

Q: Will my paint be ruined at the end?
A: Absolutely not. Our skilled technicians have conducted countless paintless dent repairs, and we'll ensure that your vehicle is smooth and pristine again by the time we’re done.

Q: What types of vehicles do you care for?
A: Our services are available for all makes and models of vehicles.

Q: Do you accept auto insurance rates?
A: We gladly accept auto insurance rates for big claims such as hail damage repair. Please contact us today to learn more about our insurance rates.

Q: What if I have several small dents on my car?
A: If you have several dents on your vehicle, that's no problem at all. We'll tend to them all, ensuring that your vehicle looks great by the time we’re done.

Q: What are the benefits of Paintless Dent Repair?
A: Paintless dent repair is the highest-quality way to repair your vehicle. We don't disturb the paint from the factory, and we don't use body viller, primer, bondo, or anything else. Your vehicle will look great when we're done, and it'll keep looking great.

Cost and price are other important benefits. A body shop could charge $350 - $500 to fix a minor dent, while using paintless dent repair to take care of the same dent might only cost $75 - $150. It'll even take less time, often under an hour, whereas a body shop would take 3-5 days.

Q: Will my dents be completely gone?
A: Usually we can completely remove minor dents, though that might not be the case with deeper dents. But most people are amazed at how great their car looks when we’re done, even on deeper dents. We can tell you what the results are likely to be before we start, so you can make an informed decision.

Q: Will the dents come back?
A: Paintless dent repair gets rid of dents for good. You won’t see any sand scratch marks or a ring around the dent in the months to come.

Q: Can Auto Piccasso fix any dent?
A: Unfortunately, no. While we can fix about 95% of minor dents using paintless dent repair, there are about 5% we can’t fix. Here are some of the indications that we won’t be able to fix a dent:

Depth: The deeper and more twisted the dent, the harder it will be to fix. We can fix a dent the size of a dinner plate if it’s shallow, but we might not be able to fix a very deep dent the size of a dime.

Cracked Paint: If the paint has cracked, that’s a sign that the dent is too deep for us to repair.

Location: We often can’t fix dents near the opening lips of the quarter panels, the forward areas of a heavily braced hood, or the edge of a panel.

Q: What do you mean by "no drilling"?
A: Too many local companies drill holes into vehicles in order to get access to the dented area, and often they don’t even tell the owner that they’re doing this. We do our best to repair every dent without drilling. If it’s necessary or more cost-effective to drill a small hole, we will tell you ahead of time and leave the choice in your hands. Then we’ll make sure to plug and rust-proof the hole before we leave.

Q: Do you repair scratches or paint work?
A: Because of our focus on quality paintless dent repair, we don’t. We can refer you to a qualified area paint shop that will get the job done properly and make sure it looks great.

Q: The lease is up on my vehicle and I have minor dents and dings. Can you help?
A: Absolutely. Our paintless dent repair is often cheaper than what the dealership will charge you for “excessive wear and tear.” Give us a call and we’ll take care of everything.

Q: I’m planning to sell my car and want it to look good. Can you help?
A: We certainly can. Most people will judge a book by its cover, and if your car looks good on the outside, they’ll assume it’s been taken care of – and if it doesn’t look good on the outside, they’ll assume the opposite. Our paintless dent repair can help you to get a better price for your vehicle and sell it more quickly. Used car dealerships use paintless repair all the time for this exact reason, so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t call.

‚ÄčUnparalleled Convenience in Hail Dent Repair

It wasn’t that long ago that fixing any dent required a labor-intensive, difficult repair process. Sanding, body filler, painting—even the smallest dents required all of this, which could spoil the vehicle’s paint job if it wasn’t done properly.

Those days are gone. Here at Auto Piccasso, we specialize in paintless dent repair for vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Keep reading to learn more about the process. How Paintless Dent Repair Works Generally speaking, we can only repair small dents, usually caused by hail, shopping cart collisions, and minor accidents. When we come to work on your vehicle, our technicians will gain access to the backside of the car’s exterior panel of sheet metal. Next, we will use our tools to lightly “massage” the dent back to its original shape. The result is a smooth, even finish that requires no welding, body filler, or painting. Your vehicle looks just as it did when it rolled out of the factory.

Though the process sounds easy, it’s best to contact an experienced professional to complete the repair. Give Auto Piccasso a call at 325-518-0796 today to start the process. Your car will look good as new again before you know it.
